Teufelskerle (Car Devils)

Teufelskerle (Car Devils) stands out as a gritty retro gem from 1999, released by the legendary Man’s Best studio. Set against the greasy, sun-baked backdrop of a local used car lot, this vintage feature captures a raw aesthetic where horsepower and hormonal energy collide. The narrative kicks off with Maik Schmidt and his companion Johan purchasing a red sports car, setting off a chain reaction of high-octane encounters. The location itself—filled with soap suds, mechanical tools, and dusty offices—becomes a playground for intense physical chemistry, transforming mundane chores like washing a windshield into highly charged preludes. The performances are fueled by an uninhibited, bareback energy that was a hallmark of this golden era. Claudio Mar shines in the garage scenes, displaying effortless chemistry with his humpy helper, while Ivan Jakov delivers a commanding performance in the back office. The film’s playful blackmail subplot keeps the narrative momentum going, leading to a satisfying climax where Maik and Johan trade up for a better ride. It is a beautifully shot slice of late-nineties adult cinema that balances lighthearted mischief with intense, raw passion.
